Café Spice Namasté16 Prescot Street, London |
In Hindi ”namasté” quite simply means a ‘gracious hello’ - a welcome with a deeper sense of divinity. Here at Café Spice Namasté it means: ‘Welcome to a wonderful Indian gastronomic experience and adventure’ Cafe Spice offers a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere in which to enjoy the extraordinary, vibrant Pan-Asian cuisine. In over a decade of service, the restaurant has sought to redefine Indian food, décor and service. Cafe Spice's elaborate and extensive menu incorporates the best of Indian cuisine with specialities and influences from all over the Asia, often, with a European twist. Rare, unusual meats feature on the menu and Cyrus’ Speciality Menu changes fortnightly to take advantage of the best the British seasons have to offer. All dishes use only the freshest of ingredients, cooked with natural herbs and Cyrus’s own spice blends. Café Spice is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and won two ‘Environmental Best Practice’ awards and the Green Point Award and uses organic produce wherever possible. Executive Chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE has been awarded a Culinary Honour of Merit Award from the World Chef Society and Café Spice Namasté is one of few Indian restaurants to have received a coveted BIB Gourmand Award in the Michelin Guide and Cateys award.
