There are two reasons to visit Romsey in Hampshire.  One is to fish for trout in the crystal clear waters of the River Test and the other is to linger awhile at The White Horse, the town’s lovingly restored former Coaching Inn turned boutique hotel. Opening onto its own delightful courtyard, the acclaimed 2 AA Rosette Silks Brasserie is a wonderful place to enjoy every occasion from a romantic dinner for two to a Sunday Lunch for all the family. Head Chef Chris Rock’s cooking is attracting foodies from all over Hampshire to sample his take on modern British food.  Using locally sourced produce his three distinct menus include the monthly set menu which represents exceptional value for money and the Seasonal menu which, by changing weekly is able to make full use of the abundance of seasonal produce available in this corner of Hampshire and the New Forest.  The a la carte evolves throughout the year with an emphasis on Brasserie classics that is both wholly unpretentious and thoroughly British.
