The case for rose veal

Jimmy Doherty Image: Channel 4Last night saw Suffolk farmer Jimmy Doherty return to our screens as he goes inside Britain’s largest supermarket chain Tesco.

Doherty’s mission is to price-match high-welfare meat products with their cheaper, best-selling alternatives. The first episode of ‘Jimmy and the Giant Supermarket’ focused on British rose (or rosé) veal and why we should all think again about this meat, particularly if we drink milk and eat dairy products.
