70% of restaurant goers are more likely to eat in a restaurant recognised for its sustainability, according to a Populus survey.
Lots of restaurants would like to meet this demand but lack the knowledge or time to make changes. Some worry that they don’t have the resources, that it will cost them money when in fact they stand to make savings, along with attracting more customers.
The SRA is here to offer practical help. Our team includes former chefs and restaurateurs, so we know the challenges you face daily! Rather than add to your workload, we can help lift some of the burden, by offering guidance and support to make your restaurant a sustainable one. Whether it’s sourcing produce, equipment or non-food consumables, we can help you find the most sustainable choice that’s right for your business. Want to improve your energy efficiency? We can advise on the options. Need help marketing your sustainability success? We’re on hand. You’ll be assigned an Account Manager who’ll guide you throughout and keep in touch with regular calls.
A major benefit of joining the SRA is inclusion in our Restaurant Guide – an online resource for diners to find sustainable restaurants near them. Take a look and see the other great restaurants that have joined — you’re in good company! We promote our Members in the media too, and to our thousands of Friends of the SRA.
What does a restaurant have to do?
To be an SRA Member, you’re committing to change. Any restaurant that wants to improve their sustainability can join, undertake a Sustainability Rating and work with our team to. See the What are sustainable restaurants? and Case Studies pages for some examples.
And while you’re here, take a look at what some of our Members say about working with us.
We look forward to welcoming you to the table.
For a single restaurant joining the Sustainable Restaurant Association the annual fee is £465 +VAT, with the opportunity to save thousands of pounds with our help.
